My Practice

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California (PSY 36703), focusing on long term psychotherapy for adults.

It is my belief that therapy should feel active, supportive, and collaborative. When we begin working together, my priority is for you to feel heard and respected. I strive to be authentic, empathic, and sincere, while making sure the therapeutic process feels like teamwork. Above all, I aim to develop trust and safety, and will always make sure we remain aligned on your goals and needs.

My approach is primarily psychodynamic and relational. This means we will focus on the impact of your past experiences, the quality of your relationships, and your emotional functioning. By identifying core patterns, sorting through difficult conflicts, and processing intense feelings, we will seek to soothe your distress and suffering, build pathways to personal fulfillment, and consider how your relationships can be more productive and enriching. In other words, we'll explore who you are and who you want to be, focusing on authentic and meaningful change.

When helpful, I often integrate cognitive-behavioral strategies, so you can feel equipped with a set of tools and exercises tailored specifically to you.

Overall, it is my hope for you to feel more in control of your life through getting to know yourself, becoming better understood by others, and considering how your hopes for the future can be brought into reach.
